Who We Are
Heartful Hands is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Long Beach, CA, dedicated to supporting children and families impacted by cancer, sickle cell disease, leukemia, and other severe blood disorders.
Founded in 2003 by Lisa and Rick Loveall in memory of Rick’s mother, Francis Cooley, who passed away from spinal cancer, our organization has grown through the unwavering support of family, friends, and the community. Francis Cooley, who cherished the holidays, especially Christmas, was known for her generosity and commitment to helping others. In her spirit, Heartful Hands has spent over two decades supporting children and families affected by cancer.

Our Mission: To Do More
From the beginning, Heartful Hands has aimed to offer more than seasonal support. We strive to assist these families throughout the year. With one parent often needing to leave work to manage medical appointments and hospital stays, additional help becomes crucial. Monetary donations can cover expenses such as school tuition, special programs, extracurricular activities, sporting events, or even a family outing.
How You Can Help
Our ability to assist these families relies on the generosity of supporters like you. You can make a difference by volunteering at our fundraisers or making a donation. Your contribution will bring joy and relief to children and their families, and because Heartful Hands is a 501(c)(3) organization, your donations are 100% tax-deductible. Join us in making a meaningful impact—donate, volunteer, and advocate today! We look forward to partnering with you to support families affected by cancer.
