Who We Are and Why
Heartful Hands is a non-profit 501 (c) (3), which supports children and their families who are affected by Cancer, sickle cell, leukemia and other serious blood disorders. Heartful Hands has grown through the years from the love and support of family, friends and local businesses.
Founded in 2003 by Lisa & Rick Loveall in memory of Rick’s mother, Francis Cooley who passed away from Cancer of the spine. Fran loved the holidays and especially Christmas where she was always giving and helping others.
Heartful Hands now has 12 Board Members and an Orange County Chapter who support and share our cause with others.

Annual Toy Drive & Fundraiser
Each year a Toy drive & fundraiser is held in December to benefit the children and families of JJCCC (Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Center), which is located at Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach. This year will be the 17th Annual Toy Drive & Fundraiser but due to Covid-19 we had to cancel our event. This year we will still support these families by providing donations and gift card to the families at Jonathan Jaques Childrens Cancer Center. Heartful Hands is passionate about bringing awareness on how you and others can support these families who are affected by Cancer. In addition to the many wonderful gifts received for the Toy drive & fundraiser monetary donations have also received by supporters who believe in our cause, which is to help support children and families during a difficult time. The monetary donations help support JJCCC play days at the hospital, special events such as a Mother’s Day Event where we help support the children in organizing a fun day for their parent or caregiver, and also support and volunteer at the annual JJCCC Torch Run. The Torch Run is an annual event where children who are fighting or who have beat Cancer run a short distance with a small torch and along side them are family and friends cheering them on!
Our GOAL is to DO MORE
We know we need to do more to help these families as they struggle through these difficult times not only during the holidays but year round. Many times one parent has to quit working in order to assist with the many appointments and time at the hospital. The other children who are at the home are also affected. During these times the parents struggle and need additional help.
Monetary donations can help to pay for school tuition, payments towards a special school programs, sporting events or even a family trip.

We know we can help these families but cannot do this alone. You can help out by assisting at one of our fundraisers or by making a donation.
Your gift or donation will make the day a little bit brighter for a child and their family.
